Here are more images from this mornings wonderful encounter with members of K & L-pod!
We ventured over to the west side f San Juan Island this morning and encountered members of both K & L-pod in near perfect conditions:) The pods were stretched over a large area moving up island as we arrived, and many of the Orcas could be seen porpoising.
As we followed the Orcas we had an unexpected surprise with a stunning breach 200 yards from the boat by one of the males! I told people to watch as they sometimes breach again and sure enough that is exactly what the big guy did;)
On our journey home we stopped off at the Chain Islets where we saw several Harbor Seals.
