What started as a dark, rainy day slowly turned into a one-minute-sunny to next-minute-showers kind of day. But as we told our passengers, we in Victoria are so lucky to have the precipitation that so many other cities dearly wish they had.
The rain is so important to the land and marine environment in which we thrive...It is literally the life-spring for salmon, the forests and us.
The rain water is essential to cooling down the river temperatures so that salmon may spawn. See http://www.pac.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/SCI/osap/projects/fraser/effect_e.htm
As you can see from these photos, we had yet another spectacular day!
