Here are images from this evenings magnificent evening Superpod (J, K & L-pod) encounter.
We had encountered L-pod during our two earlier trips but as we ventured out for our evening tour we heard that J & K-pod had joined L-pod and formed a Superpod! As we arrived on scene a few miles north of Turn Point we could see the whales headed towards Swanson channel. We could see many blows as the over 80 Orcas of the Southern Resident Pods were traveling close together, it was an awesome sight!
