Transient Orcas! Aug 25th, 2009.

Here are images by Ron Bates, MMRG, from a very special day on the water with 12 Transient Orcas. It is rare to see so many Transient Orcas together as these apex preditors are more usually seen in smaller groups of between 2 to 5. Our passengers were also lucky enough to see the large and increasing number of Sealions at Race Rocks. What a day to be on the water!

Update: The Transients were i.d. as T99's with T63 "Chainsaw", T65, T65B, T36, and T31!
