WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 12, 2009, Morning Trip: Many Resident Killer Whales (Most of J, K & L) out West past Sooke and out to Point No Point
Just as we were leaving the dock we got a report of "Killer Whales heading West past Sooke". As we headed that way we received updates that these whales were moving away from us quickly.
We continued on and, even though we needed to add an extra 40 minutes to our 3 hour trip, we were rewarded with sightings of Killer Whales from J pod with the backdrop of Temperate Rain Forest and the Sooke Hills.
